Milan, 2 August 2021 – Lexia Avvocati assisted Bper as agent bank, lending bank and hedging bank, as well as MPS as lending bank and hedging bank, in the legal due diligence and structuring of the financing transaction for an amount of approximately Euro 14,000,000 aimed at the construction of a composting plant in Lanciano (Chieti) by Ecolan S.p.A. for a capacity of 40,000 tons, with the option of upgrading to biomethane in accordance with the objectives of the PNRR.

Lexia Avvocati was represented by a team led by Partner Marco Muscettola and comprising Senior Associate Pinella Altiero for the legal aspects of the transaction, Associate Giuseppe Andrea D’Alessio for corporate and finance matters and Associate Filippo Belfatto for the real estate aspects.

Bper Bank was represented by the Project Finance team with Engineer Elena Pagani, Marco Bonancina and Federico Vinciguerra, and the Abruzzo Molise Regional Management team with Giuseppe Litta, Luca Rapposelli and Alessandro Falasca, while MPS Bank was represented by the teams of the corporate and retail territorial offices of the Central Area with Dr. Daniela La Gatta, Dr. Alessandra Petri, Dr. Rosalba Diodato, Dr. Lucio Zannella, Dr. Giorgio Ciabatti, Dr. Gabriele Garofano and Dr. Angelo Lombi.

The technical and market due diligence was undertaken by Reliable Energy Advisors S.r.l. with a team led by Managing Partner Giuseppe Mastropieri, partner Barbara Paulangelo and the Director of the Water and Environment Area Maria Santella, by Engineer Chiara Graniti and Engineer Marco Favarato.

The Ecolan S.p.A. team was composed of the internal functions that, as far as the administrative/legal aspects are concerned, was coordinated by Dr. Francesca Salerno in collaboration with Dr. Giuseppe Tiberio and Dr. Maria Carla Di Muzio while the technical aspects were followed by engineer Luca Zaccagnini and engineer Fabio Ferrara.

Ecolan President, Massimo Ranieri, confirmed the importance of the initiative, which will allow Ecolan to increase its offer in Public hygiene services to 71 municipalities in Abruzzo Region, in the province of Chieti; the President pointed out that this initiative is part of a project for the further development of the company.
