Corriere della Sera Brescia has published a detailed report on the increasing adoption of negotiated settlement procedures in Lombardy, highlighting an important trend: Lombard businesses are increasingly inclined to use out-of-court methods to improve their financial health and tackle economic challenges.
In the first half of 2024, out of 476 negotiated settlement applications submitted across Italy, 118 originated in Lombardy.
This approach, designed to help companies navigate critical periods while preserving operational continuity, offers a viable alternative to traditional judicial proceedings. According to Cristian Fischetti, partner at LEXIA, who was interviewed on the subject, “The negotiated settlement is becoming the true frontrunner among legal tools for resolving corporate crises.”
