Martina Ancarani is a professional in the Banking & Restructuring department in the Milan office. She specializes in the legal management of corporate insolvency and financial distress, advising domestic and international debtors and financial creditors on complex debt restructuring processes.

Martina provides strategic counsel on a wide range of insolvency tools, including debt restructuring agreements, recovery plans, composition with creditors, and extraordinary administrations. Additionally, she supports investment funds and financial institutions in Distressed M&A transactions and turnaround initiatives, including new financing operations. Before joining LEXIA, she gained valuable experience in corporate law at a leading law firm in Bologna.

Experience

Restructuring and Insolvency

Legal assistance to debtors and financial creditors in navigating restructuring processes. She manages the full spectrum of legal issues related to corporate distress, commercial insolvency, and formal insolvency proceedings, with a specific focus on negotiated settlement of business crisis, debt restructuring agreements, restructuring plans, composition of debts with creditors and extraordinary administration of large businesses.

Distressed M&A

Support for investment funds and financial institutions in distressed asset acquisitions and turnaround operations, including the structuring of new financing.

Insolvency litigation

Providing assistance, advisory and representation in court in connection with all types of disputes arising in an insolvency context or relating to companies in distress, under financial stress or facing liquidity constraints, with particular emphasis on claw-back actions.

Corporate Law

Developing experience in corporate law and general commercial legal matters.

Education

• Master’s degree in law, University of Milano-Bicocca.
