Public Consultation on the New Register of Agents of Payment Service Providers and E-Money Institutions

On Lexia Avvocati – Fintech Law Blog, an article by Angelo Messore, Francesco Dagnino and Filippo Belfatto concerning the new register of agents of payment service providers (PSP) and electronic money institutions (IMEL).
The Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance has in fact launched a consultation on the Draft Decree aimed at regulating the Register, through which the provisions set out in the Anti-Money Laundering Decree (Legislative Decree no. 231/2007) will be implemented.
The purpose of the Register will be to increase the transparency of the activities carried out by PSP and IMEL agents, as well as to strengthen market integrity in terms of anti-money laundering obligations.
