Immediately after graduation, Maria was awarded a PhD position at the Department of Legal Sciences “Cesare Beccaria” of the University of Milan. During her doctoral studies, she spent time as a visiting scholar at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, participated as a speaker at numerous national and international conferences, and published her research in scientific journals, including top-tier (Class A) publications. She successfully obtained her PhD with honors in November 2024. Her academic career continues to this day, as she has been appointed subject expert in philosophy of law at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
Before joining LEXIA, she gained experience at the District Attorney’s Office in Milan and a criminal law firm in Palermo.
Maria Ludovica Lagalla is currently part of the Litigation, Arbitration & Legal Risk Mitigation Department, where she primarily handles civil litigation, assisting both Italian and international clients.
She speaks Italian, English, and Spanish.
