On La Repubblica, a lengthy interview with Pietro Derossi, our Counsel and head of the Immigration Law department, who provided an overview of the decree dedicated to the so-called «digital nomads,» explaining who they are and how they can apply for a visa to live in Italy.
According to Pietro Derossi, this new visa aims in the long term to «promote long-term tourism, stimulate the local consumption economy, encourage the development of new economic activities based on high-level foreign skills, and finally, encourage the settlement in Italy of new taxpayers who can increase tax revenue without, on the other hand, occupying jobs generated in Italy.»
