Law firms: the preferred AI assistants

Inhalt

Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of law firms’ day-to-day activities. The challenge is no longer simply choosing which technological tools to adopt, but above all determining how to integrate them into working processes while ensuring reliability, security and control.

The topic is explored in an article published by ItaliaOggi, written by Antonio Ranalli, which examines the evolution of AI use in the legal sector and its impact on law firm organisation and the value of professional legal advice.

Among the professionals interviewed was Aurora Agostini, who described LEXIA’s approach to the adoption and use of artificial intelligence.

“Two years ago, the question was how much to invest in technology; today, it is how to govern it. At LEXIA, where around one quarter of annual investments is allocated to technological development, AI is not treated as an individual experiment: we have adopted a policy on the use of generative artificial intelligence and established an AI Committee responsible for approving tools and use cases. Client data may only be handled using approved tools.”

This approach is designed to integrate technological innovation into professional legal practice through clear rules, governance processes and dedicated safeguards, with particular attention to data protection and security.
