Matteo obtained his law degree from the University of Milan, presenting a thesis in bankruptcy law entitled “The Forced Administrative Liquidation of Credit Institutions”, which was also published through the Observatory on Business Crises (OCI).

He has gained significant experience in banking law and bankruptcy law, assisting banks and leading credit management companies, and dealing with all legal issues related to financial distress and insolvency of commercial companies, with a particular focus on insolvency proceedings. Matteo has also provided assistance in matters related to debt restructuring and consolidation, as well as the reorganization of companies in financial difficulty.

Before joining LEXIA, he gained three years of experience at a major Milan law firm specializing in insolvency law and special situations.
During his previous role, Matteo actively contributed to the drafting of numerous jurisprudential updates, some of which were published in renowned national legal journals, as well as to chapters in legal textbooks covering the revised Bankruptcy Code and the Consolidated Banking Law (TUB).

He works in the Restructuring, Insolvency & Distressed M&A department, where he assists both debtor and financial creditors, domestic and international, in debt restructuring processes, as well as funds and financial institutions in investments in distressed companies, through turnaround operations and distressed M&A, including new financing.

He speaks Italian, English and has basic knowledge of Spanish.
