Profile

Alessandro Dagnino, Italian Supreme Court lawyer and professor of tax law at the University of L’Aquila, is one of the firm’s founding partners.

One of the leading practitioners in the field of tax collection, he assists small, medium and large enterprises, banks, professionals and private clients in respect of tax litigation; he also assists his clients in their relationships with the companies belonging to the Equitalia Group and Riscossione Sicilia s.p.a.

He is currently the Chairman of IRFIS Finsicilia and Chairman of the Board of Liquidators of one of the major former licensees of the tax collection service.

He has been providing tax advice to regional governments and local entities for a number of years.

Studies

He graduated in Law summa cum laude with honours from the University of Palermo. His final dissertation, entitled “The income taxation of non-resident companies and entities”, received the “C. Manzoni” award from Bocconi University of Milan.

He obtained a distinction for his Ph.D. in Tax Law from the University of Catania.

He holds a Masters in Comparative and European Law and specialisation in European Law from the University of Palermo.

He attended advanced courses in international tax law at the Münster Universitat.

Academic Activity

He is professor of tax law at the University of L’Aquila.

From 2003 to 2012 he was professor of public economics and finance law at the University of Palermo.

He was also the professor of tax law for the officers of the Italian Tax Authority, and the Scuola Superiore of the Italian Ministry of Finance.

He is an author of numerous publications, including a monograph, in the field of domestic, international and European tax law, and tax ethics.

He is a member of the Editing Committee of the journal “Diritto e pratica tributaria internazionale”.

Honorary Regional Secretary for Sicily at the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy.
