Alessandro Carlini is a lawyer in the Milan office, with a significant expertise in Corporate Compliance and Data Protection. As a member of the Data & Technology Innovation team, he advises clients within the FinTech, MedTech, InsurTech and broader tech-driven sectors, on a wide array of regulatory compliance matters, with a strategic focus on data protection, cybersecurity, and the regulatory challenges arising from emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Alessandro also provides specialized support on data protection matters in M&A transaction and serves as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

His experience includes assisting companies and professionals in designing and implementing integrated compliance management systems that cover data protection, data security, AI regulation, and whistleblowing frameworks.

Before joining LEXIA, Alessandro gained experience at a leading law firm in Milan.

Advisory to an Italian insurtech operator on data protection governance, cybersecurity-related incident handling, and the lawful processing of special categories of personal data in the insurance sector.

Assistance to a leading digital media player in the fashion and streetwear industry in opposition proceedings against a trademark registration application, concerning the extension of the well-known trademark concept vis-à-vis a major fashion house.

Assistance to national and international clients on intellectual property, privacy, and data compliance matters, including support in corporate transactions and M&A due diligence involving digital assets and technology-driven business models.
