Emanuela is a Senior Associate at LEXIA specializing in Litigation and dispute resolution. She is enrolled at the Rome Bar and is admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Courts (Magistrature Superiori).

With over twenty years of experience, she has developed extensive expertise in dispute resolution, with a focus on civil and commercial litigation. She regularly assists Italian and international clients – particularly from Europe, Asia and Australia – in managing complex and cross-border disputes. Drawing on a solid technical background, she provides strategic counsel aimed at preventing and resolving commercial litigation with a rigorous, result oriented approach.

In the arbitration field, she boasts significant experience both as defence counsel in domestic and international proceedings and in the institutional role of Secretary of the Arbitral Tribunal in cases conducted under the ICC Rules of Arbitration.

She also widely recognized for her expertise in international succession law and trusts, where she manages the protection and transfer of complex assets across multiple jurisdictions, handing both inheritance litigation and estate planning.

Experience

Co-counsel (Italian law issues) for major Taiwanese quoted company in dispute involving international joint venture partners for solar panel investment in Italy – arbitration under SIAC rules and also before Italian, Luxembourg and Taiwanese courts. The proceedings included interim urgent orders, provisional enforceability, security for costs in arbitration and anti-suit injunctions ordered by arbitral tribunals against courts in other jurisdictions and subsequent settlement negotiations (value EUR 23m)

Assisting a leading Australian company in the cosmetics and beauty industry in a dispute with an Italian make-up brand developer (Value USD 2m)

Assisting a leading French global geoscience consultancy in court and arbitration disputes regarding land exploration projects in Greece and Albania USD 3m)

Assisting a leading Australian university in a property dispute involving its Italian campus

Co-counsel in dispute between prime UK real estate investor and major French global tourist resort operator regarding the validity and interpretation of a 40-year term sale and lease-back operation partly governed by Italian and partly by French law. The dispute was before both the Italian courts and an ICC Arbitral Tribunal and included complex legal argument on the application of Italian and French mandatory law (value € 5m)
