LEXIA provided crucial support to Basileus S.p.A. and Brescia Engineering S.p.A. in a complex debt restructuring operation valued at over 100 million euros. The operation, led by partner Cristian Fischetti with the support of associate Matteo Stroppa, saw LEXIA act as deal counsel, assisting both the debtor companies and the financial creditor involved.
The legal intervention resulted in the signing of two restructuring agreements in line with the certified rescue plans, achieving a successful conclusion that allowed the companies to overcome a long-standing crisis. This operation not only resolved the companies’ financial difficulties but also gave a new boost to the development of one of the most significant urban transformation projects in Brescia: the Musil – Museum of Industry and Work of Brescia.
The project’s revival represents a key step in the city’s revitalization, demonstrating how corporate restructuring can be a driving force for territorial development.
