As the founding member of LEXIA, Francesco Dagnino is an expert in corporate law and financial markets, with a particular focus on the regulation of listed issuers and supervised intermediaries.
In 2019 was awarded as best lawyer of the year in Italy for the Fintech sector at the Italian Top Legal Industry Awards which took place at the Italian Stock Exchange. He is also a founding member and vice-president of AIEDA (Italian Association for the Exercise of Shareholders’ Rights) and founder of Fintech Legal Network, the first international network of leading law firms specialized in the field of Fintech, Blockchain and Crypto-Assets.
Francesco has a recognized leadership in the Italian legal services market with reference to the Tech, FinTech, Crypto-Activities and Blockchain sectors, having created creative and innovative solutions that have left their mark.
Francesco regularly assists:
- issuers listed in Italy and their related bodies (Boards of Directors, internal committees, boards of auditors) on issues of corporate governance, market abuse and internal dealing, as well as in relation to extraordinary operations on the capital market (IPOs, capital increases, purchases of treasury shares, public purchase offers etc.);
- funds and other activist investors in relation to the acquisition of shares in listed issuers, solicitations of voting proxies, public takeover offers, participation in shareholders’ meetings, etc.;
- operators in the FinTech and crypto-assets sectors, on issues related to banking, financial, investment and payment services regulation;
- Italian and international clients, private equity funds and individuals in relation to M&A, private equity and venture capital operations.
He is the author of numerous scientific publications in the field of corporate law and financial markets. He regularly acts as a speaker at specialist conferences. Before founding LEXIA he carried out his professional activity in leading international Italian law firms.
